A man in England decided it was a good idea to walk around that country with a perfect replica of a Zelda sword. Now, I know that cosplay is a thing for a lot of people AND… I know a lot of people love playing video games. Even my family plays video games together and we have a ball. But, you have to know there are limits to the game. Let me point out… the game is NOT real life.
So, this guy, Anthony Bray, made this real-looking Zelda blade, shining and honed to perfection to walk around the streets with.

This man, Mr. Bray, was sentenced to four months in prison and has to pay $196 for the six inch blade that he was walking around with. When stopped by the police for the blade, he stated that he was using the sword as a “fidget spinner.” Now, I hope that he was just trying to spin the situation and was not actually spinning a sharp blade around his fingers and palm to ease anxiety. Whew!

Some things you just need to leave in the fantasy worlds they come from. Now he is going to have to do real world time in prison. England is cracking down on knife attacks. Cosplay at the conventions and be safe out there…
Video Game worlds often have no mercy, perhaps we should leave the actual swords in the fantasy worlds (or at least locked in your private collection).
